Mandatory lawyer in companies
Turkish commercial code is to be deeply modified before end of 2012, with entry in force of new provisions related to corporate governance.
According to Law 1136 Article 35, joint stock companies over 250.000 TL (approximately 150.000 USD) shall have a mandatory lawyer.
The companies have the choice between hiring a law firm or employ a lawyer in the company.
Failure to do so, administrative sanctions and fines are enforced to the companies.
