EXPERIENCE :

Ozgur ASIK mainly advises international clients and state entities to which he brings over 20 years of experience in business law. He was involved in several acquisition and transfer projects of companies. He assists management in corporate governance and ensures their daily legal follow-up.

His references include among others leading French operators in the energy market, cosmetics, insurance, DIY (do-it-yourself), sportwear, publishing sector, luxury goods, automotive, aviation, construction etc.

Ozgur is also an active member of the African-Turkish Business Council and the General Confederation of Ivory Coast Businesses (CGECI) by accompanying the State visit of the President of the Republic of Turkey to Africa

International Arbitration is another major area of Ozgur’s activity. In most cases, as legal counsel of companies, he develop pre-litigation strategies and where necessary, represent them before institutional and ad hoc arbitral tribunals. As such, he manages and plead several hundred international litigations before state and arbitral courts.

Ozgur Asik is also an international arbiter, mainly appointed by States, arbitration courts or companies. He serves on the Board of several arbitration courts, including ICC, ICSID, OHADA, European Court of Arbitration (ECA). In this respect, he is particularly experienced in arbitrations involving State parties, construction industry, public works, trademarks and patent and international trade.

Since 2010, Ozgur Asik chairs the European the Court of Arbitration in Turkey.

EXPERIENCE

Ahmet Can Seber has an extensive legal experience advising high level clientele, both public and private, from a range of industries.

He focuses on contracts law, M&A, banking and finance, capital markets, cross-border transactions and litigation. He is also responsible for advising a wide range of multinational companies on a daily basis mainly on company, commercial, tax and employment law matters as well as following up their privileged litigation proceedings.

Ahmet Can Seber combines his extensive practical experience with a considerable academic background gained in Cambridge, UK where he got the LLM degree with the achievement of a distinction award. His dissertation entitled “Leveraged Buyouts and Prohibition of Financial Assistance: A Comparative Study of the UK and Turkey” enabled him to compare and contrast the Turkish and the UK legal systems as well as German legal literature and the relevant EU Directives.

Ahmet Can has been working for Inlawco since 2010 and become a partner in 2016.

EXPERIENCE AND PRACTICE :

Ziad MILED is an engineer, finance specialist and lawyer whose 20-year-long experience and specialty is in law and in the economics of network industries. Numerous international telecom providers in emerging markets have contracted their regulation out to Ziad for over a decade. Moreover, he also has expertise and experience in competition and intellectual property law. He has drafted and defended a few hundred cases to different regulation authorities and arbitration chambers. Ziad is also an advisor to banks and investment funds as part of their regulatory and legal due diligence. In the same framework, Ziad Miled operated as an expert for the world bank in order to draft laws pertaining to the digital. He therefore has been appointed consultant to multiple startup in the digital and tech fields as their legal and strategy advisor. Moreover, he teaches law and digital economy and was an advisor to multiple ministers with issues relating to independent administrative authorities, media, infrastructures and private public partnerships.

He has developed succesfsul intenational projects and received an national French award (Chevalier de l’ordre national du mérite français).

In another vein, Ziad works with multiple operators in the field of Fast Moving Consumer Goods and is an advisor with regards to their international development strategies, particularly in the MENA region.

Sylvère KOYO has worked as a lawyer for 30 years and has a rare experience in West Africa.

His wide-ranging work experience includes seven years as counsel of the Ivorian Government (Ministry of Economy and Finance). He has specific experience in the field of institutional reforms, having served as counsel of the coffee and cocoa sector and then, for the CSSPPA (Stabilization and Support Fund for the Agricultural Productions Awards) for 3 years.

Sylvère KOYO was integrally involved in the liberalisation of the coffee and cocoa sector, by intervening in regulation of the coffee and cocoa sector, creating and implementing  the Coffee and Cocoa Exchange (BCC), the body responsible for regulating the coffee and cocoa sector and the FDPCC (Cocoa Coffee Producers Development Fund).

Sylvère KOYO was also Counsel many years for the cotton industry .

He is currently counsel of foreign groups in Africa, especially in Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and public bids, where he brings his 30 years experience and value added expertise.

Melih Can KORKMAZ is  experienced in corporate law, capital market law, insurance law and intellectual property law  with a particular emphasis on trademarks, insurance policies, industrial designs as well as patents and  competition disputes.

In Insurance and Competition law, Melih Can KORKMAZ assisted various insurance companies and their agents on a regular basis. Melih also publishes articles in regard to insurance policies and risks.
